Does this sound familiar?

Divorce doesn't just end a marriage — it can shake your sense of who you are. Many women feel a mix of all of this at once.

I feel like I've lost my identity — I don't know who I am outside of being a wife anymore.

One moment I feel strong and ready, the next I'm overwhelmed by grief I can't explain.

There's a voice inside telling me I failed. I can't stop the self-criticism no matter what I do.

I want to move forward but I feel frozen — like a part of me is stuck back in the pain.

What you'll take away from this webinar

  • 1

What IFS actually is — in plain language

A clear, grounded introduction to Internal Family Systems therapy and why it's so powerful for women processing divorce.

  • 2

    Understanding your internal "parts"

Why you feel contradictory emotions — and how to get curious about each part of yourself instead of fighting them.

  • 3

    The emotional stages of divorce

A realistic roadmap of what you may experience — grief, anger, numbness, hope — and why all of it is valid.

  • 4

Practical tools to find your footing

Concrete IFS-informed strategies you can use right now to reconnect with your core self and regain stability.

  • 5

    Rebuilding identity & next steps

How to begin rediscovering who you are, what you need, and what support is available to you going forward.

What is Internal Family Systems (IFS)?

Developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, IFS is a deeply compassionate therapy model that understands the mind as made up of different "parts" — each with its own perspective, feelings, and role.

Instead of battling your emotions, IFS helps you get to know them — turning inner conflict into inner healing.

In this webinar you'll learn about:

  • Exile parts — the wounded, vulnerable aspects holding old pain
  • Manager parts — the inner protectors trying to keep you safe
  • Firefighter parts — the impulse-driven responses to overwhelm
  • The Self — your calm, compassionate core that can lead healing

"The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes."
— William James

Frequently asked

Do I need to know anything about IFS beforehand?

Not at all. This webinar is designed for women who are completely new to IFS. Dottie will walk through everything from the ground up in plain, accessible language.

Is this only for women who are recently divorced?

The content is most directly tailored to women in the early to middle stages of divorce recovery, but women at any stage — including those still in the process — are warmly welcome.

Will there be time to ask questions?

Yes. A live Q&A is built into every session. You can ask questions in the Zoom chat and Dottie will address as many as time allows.

What if I can't attend the live session?

Everyone who registers will receive a replay link so you can watch at your own pace. Please register even if you're unsure about the timing.

Is this therapy or a substitute for therapy?

This webinar is educational and supportive, not therapy. It's a wonderful complement to individual counseling. If you're interested in working with Dottie directly, you can reach out via Kelly Counseling PA after the webinar.

How much does it cost?

Nothing at all. This webinar is completely free — no credit card, no catch. Dottie's goal is to make healing support accessible to every woman who needs it. Join us on July 14th at 6:30 pm ET.
